China Trip Part 6: Beijing (The Great Wall!)

in #travel7 years ago (edited)

During our first day in Beijing, we were able to visit one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Great Wall of China. It was very rainy, windy, and foggy when we went, and I was wearing a poncho and an umbrella, so it was very difficult to take pictures. Lucky for me, my umbrella completely broke when we were walking on the Great Wall, so I got all wet anyway.

Some of the steps were the size of my whole calf, which was hard to climb because it was so slippery.

Our final stop was Tiananmen square.

Thank you, I did have a great time!

Great pics, I hope to visit one day.

I hope you get to, it is a life changing experience!

The Great Wall was a whole lot harder to climb than I expected. The varying sizes of the stairs made it really difficult. Feels good to make it to the top though. Thanks for sharing. Where else did you go while you were in China?

Yes, the steps were so tall it was definitely difficult, especially in the rain! You can check out my other blogs I linked in this blog, I visited four cities: Shanghai, Chengdu, Xi'an, and Beijing.
