Yesterday, I took a bike ride down the Yongsan River to the "Naju Image Park." The river itself gave birth to the Muan people that originated in the Jeollanamdo region of South Korea. That is a topic for another time, though. 😅

The Ride

Off the balcony of a coffee shop where a friend and I met to start.

The entire ride there and back was about 45km (28 miles). First time I rode distance like this, so it kicked my ass (figuratively and literally).

Yongsanpo Area

You can ride this ferry for about 20 minutes for a few bucks.

First pic, you can see some people fishing in small boats. They were steering with flippers, pretty interesting thing to see. Second pic, my bike. If we kept going on the path, we would eventually get to a port city on the West coast.

This place was pretty cool! Sometimes, when they need a historical setting for a drama shot, they come here to shoot. You have different periods represented throughout the park. For more information, you can follow the link above. 😄

A series of trick eye art leading up to the entrance. Next, to the road, there are signatures and handprints of actors/actresses that have shot here.

If you look closely you can see a miniature horse in the stable. They were used in older times for their strength.

They had an art gallery in one of the buildings with some reprints.

It is good to be King. 😂

In the village area, you can try traditional clothes and foods. You can also wear armor from the various time periods for pictures. I can't imagine what it would have been like to be a ruler looking down on a village like this at the time.

Aftermath

After the first successful ride, we cooled down with some Samgyeopsal (삼겹살). Then I met another friend to check out a new pizza place that opened. I believe I earned my pizza today considering the ride. 😉

Samgyeopsal is basically uncured pork belly. It is one of my favorites

Corn on pizza is a thing here, along with pickles. The ranch was surprising to me though!

Recommendations

Go during the later springtime, and you can see some cherry blossoms here. Also, make sure to check if they are filming first, or you won't be able to enter. Other than that, let me know what you all think of this post 😁

Until then,
Ride on!

your post looks attracting thank you for being so good on steemit

Thanks! I appreciate the comment. 😄

Nice photos! Was that a mud house in the one shot? I lived in South Korea for two years and miss samgyeopsal very much, and it's just not the same anywhere else. Looking forward to more of your stuff!

I believe so, a lot of different periods are being represented so it was a trip! Where did you live? Based on the name I assume you live in Thailand? Lol I hope to travel there when I can. 😁
