In the afternoon after our boat trip, after having already explored the western side of Cape Ferrat, I decided to also inspect the eastern side of the cape. We had already seen it from the water earlier in the day.

With plenty of water supplies, I started at the beach in Beaulieu and was able to walk a beautiful path along the villas towards Cape Point. All the yachts were moored in the bay again. One of them had a huge waterslide from the top deck all the way down into the water. It was really cool to see the kids jumping into the cool water. I continued on and was almost alone; there was actually very little going on here.

I was particularly taken with a pink villa right on the water with its own harbor. A beautiful building in a prime location, probably unaffordable for the average earner. A little further on, I passed a beautiful harbor for smaller boats into the town center. Everything here was beautifully maintained, and sculptures and old cannons lined the streets. After a short distance, I arrived at the beach in whose bay we had anchored the boat and gone swimming a few hours earlier. From here, too, there was a great view, and it was interesting to see everything from land rather than from the water.

From here, I continued through a small pine forest, always close to the water, and I spotted my first lizard of the day. And now I had reached the tip of Cape Ferrat. Here, on the rocky, gently sloping cliffs, I made myself comfortable for a break and enjoyed the view. On the way back, I passed a few beautiful little coves, almost all occupied by small groups of people swimming. In places, the path was quite narrow and carved directly into the rock. Here, you had to be a bit careful when oncoming traffic was coming towards you. Nobody wanted to accidentally jump into the sea.

On the way back, I had a fantastic view of the mountains that captivated me so much that I didn't even realize I'd already arrived back at the Hotel Royal Riviera, the starting point of my hike.
