Hong Kong Disneyland

Last year my wife and I spent Christmas in Hong Kong. Specifically we spent Christmas Eve at Hong Kong’s Disneyland.

If you are wanting to enjoy the park around the holiday season without an extreme crowd I’d strongmy recommend arriving when the park opens. You will still have a crowd but nowhere near the crowd you will experience midday at the park.

Above photo shows main street USA just after park opening for the day (Still a crowd but tolerable).

Once midday arrived (approximately between 1-3pm) the crowd began to grow extremely crowded and congested.

Large midday crowd as described above.

We have no children but I could imagine having to keep an eye on a few children or navigate a stroller though the park would be a full time job come midday. With the just two of us we had a hard enough time side stepping and dodging people who refused to move.

We didn’t let the crowd ruin our fun as crowds are expected at Disneyland and especially Disneyland Hong Kong. We stuck around for the parade and enjoyed seeing our favorite Characters.

We ended up having a great time but we were truly exhausted from the overcrowded park after the parade and decided to call it a day (even though we wanted to stay for the fireworks). We arrived to the park via underground and still had a little bit of a journey to return to our hotel. So we headed out.
