in #travel8 years ago (edited)

Let I show You some freshly found photos.
As I already said I was hitch hiking most of the time. Here waiting for a ride to Glencairn Abbey:

I do remember the backpacks were incredibly heavy, bringing almost a half library in it.
Here with the guest mistress and working in the farm with one of the fathers (there were 2 all the time from Mount Melleray Abbey for the spiritual assistance for the nuns as Holy Mass and confessions)

Surely bought a hair cutter machine here as got fed up with my long hair.
To gather the money for coming home, I was working with Fr Dennis Collins in the shop. We had lots of fun together. Here we were smoking, which is strictly prohibited for the monks.

Fr Dennis favourite Hungarian word I taught him was "csecse-becse". This means little worthless things as the plastic holy water holders we were selling in the shop.
Spent a few weeks with lay people, who I met in the abbeys and who invited me. Here with Leo we visited some monastery ruins. Leo if You are in steemit give me a line! Would be great to contact You after 20 years.

Will continue and don't doubt that Steem is going to the Moon!
