RE: Lord Nigel's Travels - a walk across England - Day Two
If I was doing anything like this I would definitely be trailing between eating/resting stops 😆 and probably stopping overnight at least if there’s a chance of a hot shower (because I like hot showers even on warm balmy evenings, my partner thinks I’m insane).
That day looked a bit on the soggy side, is that normal weather or did you just pick an odd season for your epic hiking adventure? 🙃

A shower each night after a long day of hiking is bliss - I'm certainly a soft adventurer these days :)
This is normal weather for England - in particular the lake district is renown for huge down pours.
So while I did train here in Aus before heading over, I wasn't really ready for the combination of constant rain and difficult/slippery terrain. I was expecting some sogginess..but it was much more difficult then I imagined.
