Tigers are magnificent and you are so lucky to see one up close. I read that there may be more as pets in the USA than in the wild. That's really sad.

I saw the same article. It seems crazy to keep such a large and potentially dangerous animal as a pet. It's also got to be really expensive.

My parents went to a tiger reserve in India, but didn't see any.

@steevc-I know it must be really expensive.. and they must be some crazy people, petting poor animals and posing with them. I feel much safer without them in my backyard. :P this was my third visit to national park, and first time sighting a tiger. which tiger reserve did your parents go?
