Wanderlust Pocket #11 Phang Nga !! - UNSEEN THAILAND CAVE 🐘🦇 Tum Pung Chang

in #travel7 years ago (edited)

Hello Steemit Friends,

Have you ever wonder what lays in the those pitch black caves?. The mystery of what lived in there through millions of years and how did it combine through nature and chaotic changes of the world to the beauty it is. Questions emerges on whether our ancestor used it to evade danger and frightful animals or perhaps those beasts once lived inside that very place. So many stories can be told through what this river cave exited and why it became so bizarrely beautiful.

Into The Dark

As we entered the cave with a community guide, he first pointed out that no pictures must be taken inside to disturb the nature beings. I wasnt allowed to take any pictures within the journey but to show you from the taken onces by the authorities online

He started to explain as we moved through The drops of water shaped rocks that were glittering brightly like diamonds when reflected in the lamps worn by visitors are Stalactites and Stalagmites which is a upward-growing mound of mineral formations found in caves. In caves, stalagmites grow rather slowly—0.00028–0.037 in/yr (0.007–0.929 mm/yr) So can you imagine how many year it took to formed these rocks ?.

Many are soft and fragile; a small part are sparkling calcite aragonite crystals, some are hard granite rock all depending to the water drops on which parts and what minerals consist in the area of the cave. A stream flows through the cave all year round with deep water in some parts. Many rock inside has a name for its animal shaped that occur, starting from,The baby elephant rock, Diamond Curtain Rock, Elephant stupa rocks,Diamond Curtain Rock, Elephant stupa rocks and all of these pictures i could find.

Khun Kitti Bat

Is the only living being that occur in this cave. I was told that sometimes snakes and other small animals come through during the rainy season but eventually leave due to lack of food. Kitti's hog-nosed bat also known as the bumblebee bat is the smallest species of bat and arguably the world's smallest mammal. It has a reddish-brown or grey coat, with a distinctive pig-like snout. It occurs also at Lawa Cave, Kanchanaburi Thailand and southeast Myanmar, where it occupies limestone caves along rivers. With an average of the highest in amount to 100 individuals per cave, This cave only consist of around 20 of them. The bat feeds during short activity periods in the evening and dawn, foraging around nearby forest areas for insects and the Females give birth annually to a single offspring.

looks like such a cave to explore, especially by water!

Yes it is so beautiful. Definitely once in a lifetime experience!!!. I love being so close to nature after a year long of concrete., 🌲🌼

A very interesting place @suerisue, I can visit this trip someday. I suggest you visit Aceh because there are so many wild animals in the wild such as Orangutan, Sumatran Elephant, Rhinos and some others.

Thank you for your lovely comment. Where is Aceh?!! Sounds like an interesting place. I love all those animals you mentioned above.

Aceh is across the Malacca Strait. From Kuala Lumpur it takes you one hour 30 minutes to get to Aceh. The nature in Aceh is also very good and it takes you a few days to enjoy it @suerisue. Sorry, my English is not good
