RE: NASA ~ Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida pt. 2
I have never been there, but I've always thought it would be interesting to see. Sometimes it can be easy to forget the massive size of the buildings and such. I hope you had a great time!
@themanwithnoname, I think if you are already in Florida for whatever reason then it's worth it to take a day and visit. Sometimes they offer lunch with one of the astronauts that's been to space for a fee of course... some people wait to book their trips to go when they are there. Actually there is a couple of buildings that is pretty massive and it's hard to tell just how big they are until you are closer to them. The Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida is the world's fourth largest building by volume, and you would't just be able to tell off from a distance until you get closer to it and then it's like OMG it's HUGE and MASSIVE!!! Hopefully one day you can make it to Florida to visit NASA.
That's the building VAB I am speaking of.
It has to be supersized to be able to contain the rockets and such. It would be fun to see. Thanks for sharing your pictures.
