The Girl who Wants to See the World introduces herself #1

in #travel7 years ago

~~~ Helloooo my dear Steemians ~~~
I want you to be part of something crazy, something a lot of people are dreaming about all their life, but without doing it!
I am fulfilling my dream and travel around this wonderful planet for the next weeks, months and years, or better said for an uncertain time!
But first let me introduce myself:
My name is Martina or just Tina or Tini (now I hope you can imagine why Tinytini ;) ).
I'm from the German part of beautiful Switzerland (if you knew that there are 4 different parts and 4 official languages in Switzerland then congratulations; otherwise at least you learned something today).
I am 26 years old and finished my Masters in Psychology in January 2017 (no, I won't analyse you nor your posts, don't worry).
The most time I studied in Zurich, but as well in Liège in Belgium (which is definitely an ugly city) and I did an internship in a Marketing Agency in Berlin (which is definitely one of the craziest cities in the world) as part of the studies.
A few days after my last exams, without even knowing if I passed, I was already sitting in the plane direction Sao Paolo. Since then, 6 months now, I'm travelling around the world, or better said, until now around South America.
But why do I start to write about my trip around the globe only now and not from the beginning?
That's a really good question, as I got to know Steemit already in my first week after starting my trip while I was in Brasil. In Florianópolis I got hosted by a guy who introduced me to Steemit. He explained me how Steemit works. I was just like "what???". But then I read some posts and got really motivated to join Steemit to write about my trip around the world. My intention to open up an account even increased when I left Brasil and this guy wrote an article about
"The girl who wants to see the world":
https://steemit.com/life/@the-alien/the-girl-who-wants-to-see-the-world
But somehow I never found the time to start writing as I was travelling like crazy and I didn't have a laptop with me, which makes it more difficult to keep people updated.
6 months, 9 countries and thousands of (good and fortunately only a few bad) experiences later I am still not thinking about stopping to travel and I have so many stories to tell, that I just have to share them with you:
From Ushuaia, the end of the world
...till the Caribbean coast in Colombia, the beginning of South America
From participating in Ayahuasca ceremonies with shamans in the Amazonas...
... till getting kidnapped to a motel in Paraguay
From getting robbed and hit on the streets in Mendoza...
... till falling in love with my unknown family in Argentina
From hitchhiking 2'000 km in 2 days...
... till sitting in a broken bus during 33 hours in Peru
From freezing at 5'500 meters above sea level in Ecuador...
... till suffering from the heat at the beach in Brasil
Those stories and many more you gonna hear from me during the next weeks.
I hope with my stories and pictures I can get you out of your daily life, make you feel travelling with me for some minutes or even motivate you to just quit your job, pack your backpack and buy an open-return ticket!
Why?
Because it's definitely worth it!
You will hear from me soon!
