Obviously, the churches are black and white because they know that when tourists eventually come with their cameras, they didn't want anyone to miss out. The churches will look the same whether you use colour or monochrome film :) . Now with the digital age, they have started painting the doors a different colour because they know tourist will only smack on a rubbish Instagram filter anyway :D
