Fishing on the banks of the Dniester near the villages of Troitsk and Yaski
In Belyaevsky district of Odessa region there are lots of places where you can relax with a fishing rod (spinning) in your hands. Here, on the border with Moldova, there are plenty of places for catching various types of fish. Turunchuk and the Dniester flow through the Belyaevsky district. The first is a tributary of the second. Today we’ll talk about fishing on the Dniester.
How to get there
We get by car. The Dniester can be reached through the village of Troitsk. After crossing the pontoon bridge, having rolled off a dozen or twenty to the guard, we are moving straight. In 3 - 4 km there will be a bank of the Dniester. Here already choose the place of your choice. By the way, between Troitsky and with. Yaski has excellent, picturesque fishing spots. Personally, I come here for carp, breeding and other types of peaceful fish. Sometimes I take along a short spinning rod (1.7 meters) for catching a predator. Here you can always get hold of crayfish. There is a saying: "On fishlessness and cancer - fish."
Who and what to catch
In late summer and early autumn on the Dniester River, it actively takes carp and small catfish. Basically, catfish take on the local black worm. True, specimens from 1.5 to 5 kg fall on spinning. In any case, I have not seen a larger one.
Carp is mainly caught on the shovels. True, in a similar way locals catch. Fishermen who come from other regions prefer to catch on spinning rods. Use different types of bait and bait. At the heart of most is cornmeal. Peas are sometimes added. In the summer, carp takes well on young corn. Personally, I combine. I make dough (corn and wheat flour, 10 grams of sunflower oil, oatmeal), I use canned peas and corn. The basis of bait is makukha. So that it is not washed out by water, I use wheat cereal with various additives.
Pike has been going well since the end of October. For example, in the first ten days of November, my friends were on the Dniester 2 times. During the first fishing, they were able to take 2 scaffolds, 1.5 kg carp and several small pikes. The largest pulled 2 kg. The second time was unsuccessful. On the hook fell only small hustlers, a few 30-gram crucians and all. In total, from the second fishing, the guys brought 4 kg. fish.
At the same time, in Yaski met fishermen who rested on Turunchuk. They were able to take one catfish per 1.7 kg and three pikes, weighing 2.5 kg or more.
Frankly, before you go to the Dniester, you need to thoroughly prepare. First of all, I recommend preparing bait and bait for both peaceful fish and predator fishing. Universal lures with green and red shades have proven themselves well. Peaceful fish are not only caught on plant bait. You can try to catch on a red dung worm, bloodworm and maggot.
Thus, if you decide to go to the Dniester, then prepare various gear. Here you can relax both body and soul. Fishing is decorated with beautiful landscapes. Clean air allows you to breathe deeply. It is on the banks of rivers, lakes, estuaries and the sea the most environmentally friendly vacation! Combine business with pleasure!
