The spectacular and beautiful, "Colonia Tovar", It is a Venezuelan city, capital of the municipality of Tovar, located in the state of Aragua very close to Caracas, capital of the country. Founded on April 8, 1843 by a group of German immigrants from the then independent state of Baden. Many of these German immigrants arrived in Venezuela in search of a better future and better quality of life, when they fled Germany due to the First and Second World War, which hit that country and were located in these mountainous lands where they formed a small community that has been growing and forming a place where culture abounds, emerging from a fusion between Venezuela and Germany.
Beyond defending their German lifestyle, the inhabitants made this city a popular tourist and gastronomic destination. It is famous for its culture, its tasty mild climate and the warmth of its inhabitants. This population basically depends on agriculture because they are large producers where temperate crops such as peaches, strawberries, beets, cauliflower, carrots, cabbage, chard, broccoli, lettuce, chives and potatoes stand out, also produce typical German products such as different Sausages such as sausages and others, beers, spirits, cakes, chocolates, various sweets, bakery. ceramics, wrought iron and tourism, where they make tours of the most interesting places in the city, fields and other attractions that count.
Currently, on weekends and holidays, near the Church, farmers and artisans set up a market with stalls offering local products, mainly fruits, flowers, vegetables, vegetables, sweets and handicrafts.
In the town there are many religious festivities of German customs and they have their patron saint of all travelers, San Martín, which is honored on November 11. In the Church, there is an image of the saint, which was brought by the founders from Baden. That day the Flower, Fruit and Handicrafts Fair is also held, in which prizes are awarded for the excellence of the products produced in the municipality, there are many good places for accommodation, as well as good restaurants.

I meant to get back and write a real comment about your lovely post, and have had so many distractions today! I can't believe how German that town looks! It's hard to believe it's in Venezuela!
If dear friend, it is as if it were a small Germany, some of the inhabitants wear clothes from their country, the restaurants with their meals are spectacular, there are many flowers, vegetables and their craft beers.
I've traveled in Germany and loved it. This would be a fun Place to visit and eat German food in Venezuela!
