A Visit to Mall

I went to the mall with a small list to get groceries quickly and come back before the heat rose. The automatic doors sighed open and the polished floors reflected my tired but focused face.

I moved through aisles selecting staples, rice, lentils, a packet of spices I’d been meaning to try, and my favorite tea leaves tucked between canned goods.

At the checkout, a friendly cashier asked about my day, the small chat made the wait feel shorter. I noticed neat signboards promoting a local jam brand and added one to support nearby producers. Walking back to the car, my bag balanced on the handle, I felt satisfied.
