New Guest on my reading table
I brought it home the day after yesterday — a bunch of green leaves in a small blue tub, the tips of which shimmered in the sunlight. When I placed it by the window, its leaves swayed in the light breeze, as if it were breathing in for the first time.
Everyone in the house was surprised to see the new guest — some said, “How beautiful!”, some said, “Wow, how refreshing!” I just laughed. The name of this plant is Spider Plant, but to me it is like a living soul.
Every morning I put it near the window, so that the sunlight falls on it. Since it is placed on my table, it does not get sunlight, so sometimes I bring it near the window and feed it with sunlight. I give it water, talk to it—“Are you okay?” Surprisingly, even though I don’t get an answer, it seems like it looks at me, nods its head gently, and says, “Yes, I am okay.”
A new guest has arrived in the house—but somehow I feel like I have actually become its guest. This silent green companion seems to bring a little peace to my tired days.
🎉 Congratulations!
