"SLC31-W1" // Steam Expeditions, Hidden Gems and Local Mysteries: My Secret Haven

in Traveling Steem23 hours ago

Assalamu Alaikum friends. Today I am here to participate in a wonderful Steemit challenge competition organized by @oswaldocuarta. The Topic of this challenge is "SLC31-W1" // Steam Expeditions, Hidden Gems and Local Mysteries: My Secret Haven. So let's get started.

How did you find this place and what was the first thing you did when you got here?

I went to Sylhet, one of the most beautiful cities in Bangladesh. Where there is the largest shrine in Bangladesh, which is called Dargah Shahjalal Shrine. Thousands of people visit this place every day and they think it is a place of peace.

We went to visit this place with two other travel companions. The place is located in a quiet environment, so many people come here. I have known about this place since childhood but had never been there. But this time we planned to visit this place. At the beginning, this shrine has a huge gate. There is a shrine's name in front of the gate and a mosque inside with Allah written on it.

What sound or smell identifies this refuge?

We went to this place just to visit and had no other purpose. Various activities are held in this place, one of which is blogging. There were various bloggers there who did photography and videography from every angle. I went there, spent some time there and noticed that there is a huge mosque inside where we offered prayers.

I could smell incense sticks and agarbatis all around. There is a women's section inside where they offer prayers. Also, if you move a little further, there is a huge pond where there are huge, very old shoal fish. The fish are at least 20 to 25 years old.

What time of day do you prefer to go there and why?

Since it is a Mazar, there are always people here from morning to night. However, there are less people in the morning. I think the best time to visit here is in the afternoon. I like to go there in the afternoon because in the afternoon people come here from different parts of the country to take pictures and make videos.

The most interesting scene in the afternoon is that there is a huge building with hundreds of pigeon nests inside the walls. The pigeons always fly from one side to the other and are given food every now and then. There is a section for feeding the pigeons where pigeon food is always given. In the afternoon, when the pigeons fly around, that scene looks very beautiful. Besides, it is better to see the view of the mosque from below in the afternoon.

If this place could talk, what secrets would it tell about you?

In fact, this is a holy place and if this place could talk, it would probably tell me a lot about itself. I cannot say anything clearly about this because it is not right to comment on a holy place without understanding it. However, I will say a little because I have to answer the competition questions.

If I could talk about this place, I would probably be asked why you came to this place? Can you tell me what your hopes are? Can you share your thoughts with us? How do you like all the structures here and my activities? I think these questions must have been asked to me. The scene behind that shrine where there are palm trees and the front part of the wall are displayed very beautifully.

This place is a peaceful place and some people think that by going to this place they find peace of mind. So I went there to visit and after spending some time I realized that it is really a beautiful place and when the wind blows from all around it, it calms and soothes your mind.

To go to this place, you must come to Sylhet city. Then you have to take an auto rickshaw and come directly to Shahjalal Mazar, which is free to enter. There are numerous shops next to it from where you can buy beautiful products and there are also food and hotels. At night, if you stand in front of the main gate of this place, you can enjoy a wonderful view.
