As-salamu alaykum, My Dear Steemit friends

1. What kind of religious cultural place have you visited? Introduce briefly?

Today, I visited a religious and cultural place in my area called Poroddia Jame Mosque. The mosque was established in 1925, and it is one of the oldest and most well-known Jame mosques in this locality. People from nearby areas come here every day to perform their prayers.

The mosque has four floors and can accommodate around 1,000 worshippers at a time during congregational prayers. Besides daily prayers, various religious activities take place here, such as Islamic education, Quran recitation, supplications, and religious discussions. Although the mosque is not very large, the environment is peaceful, calm, and spiritually pure.

2. What kind of religious activities are seen here?

Five daily prayers are performed in congregation at this mosque. On Fridays (Jumu’ah), the mosque becomes more crowded compared to other days.

After the Dhuhr prayer, children and teenagers are taught how to read the Quran. During the month of Ramadan, special arrangements are made for Taraweeh prayers, Iftar, and special Duas.

I visited the mosque during Jumu’ah prayer time, and I saw many worshippers performing their prayers together. I captured some pictures at that time, showing the beautiful atmosphere of the mosque.

3. What attracted you the most about this place?

What attracted me the most about this mosque is its peaceful environment and discipline. As soon as you enter, you feel a sense of calmness. People pray with full concentration and respect.

Another thing I really liked is the clean and well-organized ablution area, which makes performing wudu comfortable. Inside the mosque, there are bookshelves with religious books and copies of the Quran, which anyone can read.

Everything is simple yet neat and well-maintained. Some instructions are nicely printed on the walls, such as “Please keep silent” and “Use gestures to communicate”, reminding everyone to maintain a quiet and respectful atmosphere since many people are engaged in prayer.

4. Is there any special moment or experience?

Yes, I had a beautiful experience here. During prayer time, everyone stands in the same row and bows their heads before Allah. This scene is very emotional and touching.

Rich or poor, young or old, everyone prays together equally, and that creates a special feeling of unity. Spending some time in this mosque made me realize that even in a busy city, such a peaceful place can make a person feel mentally relaxed and refreshed.

The large gathering during Jumu’ah prayer also felt very special and left a deep impression on me.
