SLC29-W2 | Urban Discovery Journey : Food and Beverage Zone

Greetings from your Urban Explorer for Season 29, Week 2. This week's delicious mission took me deep into the city's Food and Beverage Zone. I believe the true character of an urban space is the best understood through its flavors & my discovery led me to a fantastic dual concept establishment of Khalid Sweet n Bakers.
What makes this place a good true "zone" is its clever setup. It is not just one thing. The ground floor is a dedicated Dessert Shop & Bakery Items bursting with the colors & sweet aromas. Climb the elegant marble staircase & you will enter the first floor that is a full service Restaurant named "Khalid Snacks & Meals (K.S.M). This combo offers a complete culinary journey from quick sweet treats to extensive savory meals.
First, as per the rules of discovery, here is my proof of urban exploration:
1. Which Food and Beverage Zone have you visited? Introduce briefly.
I have visited & will be reviewing the Dessert Shop and Restaurant Combo of "Khalid Sweet n Bakers." Located in a bustling urban area. It strategically serves two crowds. The ground floor of "Khalid Sweet n Bakers" is a paradise for those with a sweet tooth & the featuring glass cases filled with the traditional sweets, pastries, cakes & also ice cream. The first floor of "Khalid Snacks & Meals (K.S.M Restaurant)" offers a very comfortable dine in experience with an incredibly diverse menu. It is a one-stop destination for everyone for catering to gift shoppers, dessert lovers & families seeking everything from karahi to etc.
2. What special foods and drinks are available there? How are the prices, management and customer service?
The variety is astounding and caters to every craving.
In the Dessert Shop (Ground Floor)!
Traditional Sweets: A vast array including Soan Papdi, Gulab Jamun, Gajar Halwa, Daal Halwa, Loki Halwa, & special of winters Gond Makhana Halwa.
Bakery & More: Fresh bread, buns, pastries (like Pineapple and Black Forest), cakes, ice cream & beautifully packaged gift boxes (Saugat).

In the Restaurant (First Floor) - A Culinary Universe!
The menus you have shared reveal the true scale. It is not just a restaurant or a snack bar but it is also a full fledged restaurant with:
BBQ & Kabab: Chicken Malai Boti, Beef Behari Boti & Reshmi Kababs.
Karahi & Handi: From White Chicken Handi & Desi Ghee Karahi.
Chinese Cuisine: A full section with the Lemon Chicken, Manchurian, Chilli Dry & Shashlik for chicken, beef, fish & prawns.
Grilled & Sizzlers: Mexican Chicken, Jalapeno Chicken with sides.
Burgers: An extensive list from classic Zingers to "Giganto" and "Fire Blud" burgers.
Rice, Noodles & Pastas: Singaporian Rice, Chowmein & Penne Arrabbiata.
Fast Food & Appetizers: Broasts, Crispy Roll, Sandwiches & some different variety of Fries.

Prices, Management & Service!
The prices are clearly marked across all menus and are competitive for the quality & variety offered. From Rs. 250 for a soup to Rs.2800 for a full Desi Ghee Karahi, there is a range for every budget. The management is highly organized with separate well-labeled sections for sweets & restaurant orders impeccable cleanliness (note the neat wash area and "No Smoking" signs) & professional certificates displayed at the wall of cash counter. Their customer service was very efficient & courteous. Mr. Zubair at the cash counter was very nice helpful & the staff in both sections were attentive.

3. What special food or drinks in this place attracted you the most?
The winter special Gajar Ka Halwa & the Hot Gulab Jamun were very incredibly tempting from the dessert side & the sheer diversity of the restaurants main menu was the biggest attraction. Seeing a place seamlessly offer authentic BBQ Tikka, Chinese Jhaptap, Italian Pasta & the massive gourmet burgers all under one roof was remarkable.The Chicken dynamite featured as an appetizer with a pizza flavor along with the “KSM Special Pasta,” welcome board really caught my attention. It was clear that they are trying to put a very unique spin on their house specials.
4. Explain some of the special moments or unique dishes spent there.
The most special moment was the journey of discovery itself. I started in the sensory overload of the ground floor, taking a selfie surrounded by the glittering sweets & the warm promise of winter halwas.
Ascending the stylish staircase felt like transitioning between two worlds. The 1st floor of restaurant was spacious. Although my photos of the full sitting area & entrance are included the atmosphere was of a clean, well lits & family friendly space with the welcoming boards highlighting daily specials.

Faced with an encyclopedia of choices, I decided on a mix. From the winter menu, I tried the "Gond Makhana Halwa," a rich, nutty traditional treat. From the vast restaurant menu I opted for a classic comfort food. A Chicken Boti Roll and a Hot & Sour Soup. The roll was perfectly packed with the flavorful boti & the soup was steaming, tangy & exactly what I needed. It was the perfect embodiment of their combo concept enjoying a hearty savory meal with a traditional sweet ending.

In conclusion My Urban Discovery Journey to Khalid Sweet n Bakers was a revelation. It is more than a shop or a restaurant. it is a microcosm of modern urban food culture diverse efficient & catering to every mood & occasion. It is perfectly fulfills the essence of this week challenge.
