A particular variety of guava for the garden
Guava trees are medium-sized and have smooth, thin, copper-colored bark that peels occasionally. Its leaves are dark green and oval, with a distinctive fragrance. The tree is highly tolerant and thrives in a variety of soils and climates.
A healthy tree begins bearing fruit two to three years after planting. Guava fruits are green and hard when unripe, but turn yellow and soft as they ripen. Inside, they contain a white or pink pulp containing small seeds. Guavas grown in winter are considered the sweetest and tastiest.
