ABSTRACTIA" : TREES AS I SEE THEM...

in #trees16 hours ago

Okay, I think the title of this post pretty much sums up what it's about. But, you know me and you know that "I like to tell stories," and I'm not one to hold back 😃, so I'll tell you a little about how this happened:

Leaving Montalbán to the northwest, there's a narrow paved road that leads to the town of Aguirre (about 7 km from my town). The first stretch of that road, let's say almost the first kilometer, is a very long straight section, and along this entire stretch, on the right side coming from Montalbán, grows an old forest of mostly deciduous trees, which is what remains of the wooded land of a former coffee plantation. It was later converted into a horse breeding farm, although it recently changed hands again, and I've seen newly planted coffee plants. Anyway, getting back to the matter at hand; The truth is that during these months of drought, almost all the old trees in that forest lose their leaves, offering a fascinating spectacle to anyone who appreciates the abstraction present in that magical network of bare branches. And the origin of this experimental photography project that I'm sharing with you today is precisely there; with me walking along that stretch of lonely way, flanked by enormous leafless trees that almost seem to be threatening to spill onto the road... I hope you enjoy it!
