Tree Tuesday: Palm trees - Our island in the city

With twenty palm trees in one garden we have our very own 'oasis'.

Earlier today I posted a photo of one of the palm trees in our garden. I told you that if you sit just right it looks and feels like you're on an island. It got me thinking that words can't really describe what I see when I walk in our garden. I'm sure some of you would like to see.

Seeing as it's still TreeTuesday I went out in and tried my best to capture the look.

Our front garden

These are about 8-9 meters tall

The tallest of the lot at about 25 meters

As I said. It's a job and a half to keep them pruned and neat, but they help make our house an island right in the middle of the city.

I won't @bigbear. Our main man Tau does the pruning and I hold the ladder.
