The Old Dog Presents: A Real Cliff Hanger For Tree Tuesday!

in #treetuesday7 years ago (edited)

We can learn a lot from trees. Hang on tight, and move towards the light! Life will throw a lot of things at you but be tenacious and search out the good!

This Tree is A Balancing, Acrobatic Marvel!

I love Trees! This One, which I saw while visiting Capilano Suspension Bridge Park in North Vancouver struck me as worthy of admiration. Not only was it growing out of rock but it lived on the edge of a cliff.

I had a chance to observe it up close because in 2011 the park authorities built a cliff walk that takes you right by it.

How this thing manages to be so BIG and still cling to the edge of a cliff is a cause for wonder!

Check Out The Shape of This Tree!

In order to reach for the light this tree grows straight up and does its job of competing for sunlight with the rest of the foliage of the forest canopy!

This  Bridge Was Our Observation Platform!

This shot is taken from above the cliff walk. It gave us a good opportunity to observe the cliff hanging trees!

What About You?

  • Are you sometimes amazed at where trees will grow?
  • Do you think that this tree will be able to "hang in" there?
  • Can we learn lessons from the trees?

I hope that you enjoyed my entry in Tree Tuesday and please check out this other entries in this challenge which is run by @old-guy-photos!

Until next time,

Trees are definitely one of the most beautiful creations...what would life be like without trees?...aside from the fact that we wouldn't be alive without trees, but even if we would...who would want to live in a world without trees ?...thanks for the post...

I really like to find monumental trees! Do you remember registering this one?

Or what about this one:

Yes indeed....I seem to be doing a lot of "Tree Hugging"...I must really like them..

Without trees we would not be able to live in a tree house...

Q: Are you sometimes amazed at where trees will grow?
Q: Yes, trees amazed me many times
Q: Do you think that this tree will be able to "hang in" there?
A: Yes, good adaptation effort by it.
Q: Can we learn lessons from the trees?
A: Always, keep doing your job, give sweetness and protect, provide shelter. Trees are all about giving without any self interest.

"keep doing your job, give sweetness and protect, provide shelter. Trees are all about giving without any self interest."

Those are very nice thoughts!

That's the magic of nature! Beautiful! A lesson may be that it doesn't matter the condition, a tree alway try to reach the warm of the sun

Very true!

Surprise me sometimes places in which one can grow trees, namely on roofs of houses, on mountain slopes and cliffs, and even in places cliffs. And because they are able to adapt to almost any terrain. I wood like a man, man too can adapt to almost any habitat. Lust for life.

Yes, man can adapt. I was always amazed at how the eskimos adapted to the arctic!

What an amazing tree! I'm constantly amazed by trees like this that find a way to thrive even in challenging locations. This one looks pretty solid, so I'm sure he'll make it :)

I think the lesson here that can apply to Steemit is that even if you get off to a rocky start you can still grow into something big!

"the lesson here that can apply to Steemit is that even if you get off to a rocky start you can still grow into something big!"

That's a great answer!

The lesson from this tree is clear and loud : HODL

Is that Hang On For Dear Life? If so agreed!

yes my doggish friend

That's certainly different @kus-knee. I once went to a National Park in Western Australia and saw something similar. It was a bit of a tourist attraction located near Devil's Slide. It was literally called tree in a rock. Great photos and thank you for sharing :)

If you have a picture of the tree why post it? Ever week is Tree Tuesday around here. Thanks for the visit!

I might have to do that next Tuesday for sure! Thanks for the invite to participate @kus-knee.
