We are all here for a reason

I'd dispute the above.

Why does there have to be a reason for us being here - other than the cold dark reason that the universe (aka "god") exploding into being, cooled, planets formed and life arose upon one of them?

Try to enjoy it, sure. And be sure to look out for all the blood being spilled - it can stain your clothing. Procreate - should you wish to but bear in mind overpopulation and the fact that the environment can only really get worse (unless people miraculously stop being greedy???).

Ultimately, DNA found a way, didn't it? And of all its properties, its tendency to replicate itself under the right conditions enabled the resulting life to continually evolve over millions of years. It had all the time it needed.

With the Trump family unfortunately in charge of the world's largest arsenal of life-destroying weaponry, maybe it's time for life to take a backseat in the history of the universe, now? It was fascinating if only for a while, eh?
