Why are people angry at Trump's Military Parade?

Whenever I go to the US, I am always shocked at the overwhelming militarization of public space. On every major street and highway, huge American flags are installed, not only on borders or at airports. Signs supporting, or recruiting for, the troops and the police are the most recurring advertising in an public space. The amount of public display of weaponry is probably only second to that in the Israeli Apartheid colonies. I once noted that the only thing missing from the usual banana republic displays is large pictures of the leader; but then again, whole mountains (indigenous holy sites) have been carved in the liking of White presidents.

This is why I am surprised those who have been silent on what I just noted, are now freaking out about Trumps military parade!?!
