It's Fine To Be Controversial

in #truth2 days ago

In my experience, after witnessing the full fallout of cancel culture and getting banned multiple times, here's what stands out most clearly: It's possible to be controversial and still navigate through periods of intense backlash or complexity, as long as you find a way to persist.

The vast majority of my bans came during one specific window—the COVID era. That period was unlike anything else, with heavy censorship rolling across mainstream platforms. I was also in the middle of rapid follower growth at the time, which made the silencing feel even more abrupt. I got shut down before I even reached 10,000 followers. TikTok and Facebook, in particular, wielded far too much unchecked power back then.

Surprisingly, YouTube never fully banned me, though they did hit me with a random strike on a video about Hunter Biden—for simply reporting what turned out to be factual.

Looking back, a lot of what got labeled "conspiracy theory" during those years has since been borne out by subsequent revelations. Many of us who pushed back against the dominant narratives feel a sense of vindication—and yes, I include myself in that group. We were right to challenge the efforts to mislead the public and to keep sharing the truth when so many wanted it suppressed.

It was absolutely worth it.
