I watched this on the BBC when it went out around new year. It was very good and the leads did a great job. They made Dracula himself quite funny whilst making his actions horrific. The portrayal of the undead was very creepy. I'm not a big horror fan, but this was compelling. Lots of nice twists, but writer Mark Gatis is known for that with things like Sherlock. I needed some light relief after watching the last part and so watched Lego Batman.
3 episodes not enough :) I hope they continue it
As far as I have seen, there are no plans to. It's more of a long movie than anything.
i really liked this series. at first i thought of it as kind of boring. Because jonathan was just talking about his experience and it kind of felt, dull and slow.... And then in a few minutes when dracula gets younger, it became a little more interesting. So i kept watching. i didn't thought i could enjoy this type of slow moving show(except for westworld) but i did. i enjoyed it very much. agatha travelling to the future in his blood was specially a good scene.
and at the end the sunlight twist was really really twisting.....
I was planning on watching this too but haven't gotten around to it. Netflix and Dracula don't initially sound like a match made in heaven, but if it's gritty, I'm all for it. Glad you pointed out it's only 3 episodes, so I can mentally prepare to binge watch it in a day.
It's really dark and in your face. It isn't gentle.
Looks like it's worth seeing! thanks for the review!
