we been wondering for a while why someone always seems to add every release title on demozoo with no download, screenshot or video to it , wether that is some kind of OCD database management from someone who spent a career and got ai-erased at work or if some pouet groupie is trying to sabotage the site

new one here too, i suppose you can call mr FPGA scene news too, its fringe enough, it has middle aged men with spare money spending stuff on toys, some probably buy ten units so they dont have to choose the OSD what computer to boot

no, more like KISSS THE PINKY RING , tho, i found the mister fpga forum to be one of the most friendly scene-type forums ive had the pleasure of visiting

the guy himself is a bit OTT compared to LU and pops out all the vids during the week and THEN a combo on sat or sunday ... an obvious game-nerd but with dedication there ... and often makes absurd exclamations that overhere for sure would get you in trouble like "im in a bit in a hurry guys, i'm actually finishing this AT WORK" ...

i remember being dumped once for having msn messenger on, didnt even get a message or anything i just turned it on on the pc i was on ...

of all 60 jobs on the books i think there's a few that ended the deal from their side, ofcourse being born in this age most were limited time contracts already

i can never imagine here anyone going online like "HEY IM AT WORK DOING THIS MONETIZED YOUTUBE VIDEO"

ah yea, that means this body is SO old we actually had to use MSN on the pc because no one had a smartphone, actually maybe not even a cellphone back then ... as much of computerguy we have been since the kid ... gaming since the VCS ... or "since ataripaddles" as i like to say (quite forward in a place called salems lot i tell ya ... not that they sold software anywhere but the Atari was known enough to be sold at christiaenssen and other major stores in town so the carts were actually available, ... not so much for the c64 ... even WAY less for the Atari ST)

i think we never had internet until the early 20s , somewhat between 22 and 25 (i dont do "it was THAT year" very well) and i dont think i have even a cellphone until i was 30 ...

let alone a smartphone but i DID have 150 humans in it i actually spoke to

once the smart things took over i think it was like 3500 people on facebook but nobody i knew heh

Well you wouldnt expect normal people in fringe communities would you except that most of them are , its just a subculture like any other and subcultures are copies of the norm with a different skin where everyone has the same pattern, hides in the group-as-identity and the closer to the centre you are the less chance there is of being eaten by the bear in the cave

nothing changed much , just like behaviour in the last 10000 years the bear in the cave pretty much still rules all psychology before anything else, its just hard to see to the mundane brain

Ah the jag games yes, since we found ourselves to be under some subconscious notion that "cart = 1mb" so the RAM is 1mb because easyflash (i think its something like that) we were copying lots from rom to ram during execution ("RUNTIME" or whatever todays word is) which on the mister kinda lags out the screen, tears it up and mostly takes too much time for a cart game so finally realizing that 2mb != 1 since the jag has 2mb ram area that immediately gets into place when you slot the cart

its a bus thing ... the jag is more about bus fares than cycles and since we have no intention of getting a fast phd in jag-asm (i wonder what it looks like with those risc processors and the motorola all running at the same time you get multiple instruction sets, right ???

so ... from what we gathered the 64BIT CONSOLE (!) has a 64bit databus (thats about all there is to the 64 thing) which can push a whole phrase (8bytes) in one go ... THATS NICE ...

but ... it only works while working in ram, if you have to push data from the upper ROM area of the cart (which can be up to 4megabyte - which is quite a lot if you ever try to do a retro game because that kickstarter that got 250k looked so good or something)

because from ROM to RAM or maybe also "in ROM" (tho i dont know how to put code in rom and execute it there, technically speaking just like EZF on the c64 you can have routines that run in the ROM area and on the c64 they will run at the same speed but its ROM so you cant have anything self-modifying , you could run some kind of routine that sucks, processes and pushes data through i suppose)

BUT no idea how to do that from jagstudio on the the jag (which we dont have but bigpemu, which is not a reference as EVERYTHING works on bigpemu so we use the mister single ram as a baseline)

has only 32 bits speed so thats like a significant drop , HENCE
since we realized we actually have 2mb of ram space we are moving all assets to ram, but ofcourse the code needs adjusting and we're running into the strangest errors that are no errors but bug out the whole cart like

if there is ONE line in "if level = 51 then goto labelsomething" for instance which is something that never gets called until after the select start menu, the whole cart refuses to boot, before that we had some section of code that never got called but unless commented out the cart refused to boot and the topper is dimensioning an array at 32 crashing out while 480 works so its not memory overflow or something its just
