There's so many new games still coming out for this 41 year old tsukumogami (computers grow up faster ofcourse since they are in the accelerated part of the curve of time ...)

Theres lots of great folk doing great games you wouldnt have dreamed possible in the 80s, not just on that supercomputer back then but as a whole because the only thing better you ever saw was arcade machines , about five of them heh , when the carnies came to town twice a year, with superb grafix and performance like double laggon ...

or fullfledged cabinets with pedals and a steering wheel like roadblasters but at 20 francs a game the fair-money was quickly spent ...

But these strategy games, which the boy really only started seeing around the Atari ST with megalomania and the peter molyneux lot and the topper of toppers Civ 1, which was a 100 turn demo that came with a disk on a mag from a friend who BOUGHT IT IN THE CITY ! (they had those there) until finally he got his hands on the four floppies of epic doom ... played that demo 100 times for the 100 turns it lasted at least, NEVER saw anything like it, you just didnt have that on the c64 ...

BUT NOW ...

you got monte boyd and the musketeer guys , some other polish dudes and SJA (i think shes american ??? she must be a mutant or something but she does have a bit of a salesforce thing, i bet its american fenotype)

but windigo here excells in the missing link : STRATEGY GAMES !!

check out the feed on itch, most games are pay what you like but ALL OF THEM are totally polished, and look at deathflood, its not like the guy(s?) can't do realtime games either, theres some RTS too

where RGN picked the monte boyd superhitgame (in c64 terms it totally is) but gouts et couleurs ofcourse

when we first opened up a can of Cronos the feeling was immediately OMG this is Battle Isle (3) for the c64 !!!! these guys totally did it

if you know the series, battle isle shadow of the emperor is a generation panzer general +1 TBS game that is rock-hard ("tough as nails?") from the day where you didnt have achievements and nobody was watching but you , no internet but you STILL went for all the major victories on hard , personally id say BI3 is our alltime ever TBS ... (its not the same genre as CIV, PG and BI are hardcore tactical/strategy while civ is more about managing than the actual strategy although it certainly IS a strategy game)
