BUT THE FILTERS, you have these metal ones with little holes in it and they DO catch dust but
... the vinyl ones, or whatever they are , they catch A LOT out of the air, and i mean A LOT, every two days i clean them with a vacuum or wet rag and what comes off is all dust i didnt get in my personal air ducts , its a LOT really but ... only half the amount of fans i had intended, the filters : they cost €12 a piece ... (the fans €2) ... add some inflation i bet they are at €15 now and last time they were almost unattainable but the metal ones are really cheap, 3 in a pack but they're not worth the effort really, they probably keep your pc clean longer, they DO catch dust but compared to the fine woven ones its like maybe 5% or so

Lately the idea of writing a game in basic on the real machine has been playing, just like we would like to do the Atari ST game on the real machine here, but tahts because the boy never got to programming the ST since IT DOESNT COME WITH A PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE INSTALLED OR EVEN ON A FLOPPY INCLUDED ... and software for the ST was scarce ... the GFA basic editor is kinda way ahead of its time

I always wondered why some try to do 3d on 8 or even 16 bit systems from the 80s 90s, most of those are HORRIBLE, even the lowpoly era on pc, back when my pentium 60 was my supermachine ... the 3d games mostly suck monkey arse ... (doom isnt REALLY 3D , right ... DOOM did it right, duke did it right, hexen, heretic, blood, strife ... so many others but)
here too, the petsci minecraft ... the petsci planet renderer was quite impressive as a tek routine but in the end you're shooting in a 160px environment ... i LOVED elite back in the 80s because it was unimaginable actually for such a game to exist, played it a lot once i found out through a friend who brought a Zzap magazine after a long and arduous quest that went all the way to the nearest city 5km away that showed you could autodock your ship
otherwise it was hell to master at first
but other than that, and ELITE ISNT REAL 3D EITHER ITS VECTOR GRAPHIX and at tek and innovation level it stands next to doom in fact in its day and age

personally , as an early adopter of Ark Evolved, since the first months when the game had more bugs than code and slowly turned into the most epic shit ever, i havent found anything that can top it, not Icarus , not anything i know of at least ... theres something about taming dinos in realtime for six or seven hours straight and then while you have to take piss four raptors fall from a mountain and bite it to death , or logging out after securing your base perfectly , to find out the next day they actually have swarming insects that will eat your dinos if they stand on passive (to make sure they dont aggro T-rexes that get too close and either bites through the walls) and you login and find a piece of rubble where your base was ...
Back when we had money for games, played a lot and actually with others too ... at one point even had my own warcraft guild, age of conan too, but fuckers is shit and they expect the healer to just heal everyone at once while the attack the dungeon boss without any strategy at all ... it gets annoying to be the boss if you dont have a solid team that can follow strategies
I think Ark went as far as dinos that took A WEEK (real time) to tame, only the top guilds could manage that because they had to have people online from all across the play-globe 24/7, bringing tame-food , protecting the stunned Godzilla-sized monster and also keeping it sedated while not overdoing it so you dont kill it, SEVEN FUCKING REALTIME DAYS AROUND THE CLOCK, and some of them actually managed to do that ... now THAT
is guild-play
nothing ever topped it so far
but if youre into minecraft id say today you have two options
Cubic Odyssey (also on GoG if you dont like to pay crotter)
and
Lay of the land sadly only available on "the only game store in the world"
the former has like spacetravel between planets, quests, stores, very nice shading, monsters to shoot, tons of recipes but the voxels are quite large, even so, you can make really impressive scenery
the latter , wehn it comes to pure building, would be my personal favourite in the genre (ofcourse nothing like Ark Evolved) due to the voxel size being SO small you can make these really detailed structures, you can save templates too but i think you can do that in cubic odyssey as well, small stuff like furniture (in Lotl then) to big stuff like whole bases and town setups (in both) , the renderer in lotl does it really right, down to the flowing water, while odyssey has way larger blocks but spacetravel and the lot ...
no way you can have a satisfying experience the same on a c64 in 3D ...
you can do 3d mazes but they did that in the 80s although the movement was "per move" not per frame, these raycaster like you have in the demo that won X or petscii planet do a great job within the limits
but that doesnt mean you get great immersive games lol
