Goethe's Faust\"Фауст" Гете

It so happened that in recent years a little has fallen on the classics. I re-read my school program. And this time the choice fell on Goethe's Faust. A classic thing, which is very much enjoyed with software reading. Well, but now, at a more mature age, you read completely differently. That is why the classics and sometimes need to be re-read. After all, this distinguishes good literature from the passage - to good books constantly returns.

Так сталося, що останнім часом трохи підсів на класику. Наново перечитую для себе шкільну програму. І на цей раз вибір впав на «Фауста» Гете. Класична річ, яка дуже сподобалася ще з програмного читання. Ну та але зараз , в більш зрілому віці, читаєш цілком по іншому. Саме тому класику і необхідно інколи перечитувати. Адже це і вирізняє хорошу літературу від прохідної – до хороших книжок постійно повертаєшся.

The whole plot twists around the medieval legend / story of Dr. Faust, a real person, an alchemist and wizard, who surprised people with their unusual practices. Legend says that for his skills he sold the soul to the devil.
Goethe's variation is the deepest, due to this, in somehow free-sounding, "medieval" history, it really deeply reflected many conflicts of human existence. And, in fact, the work itself became one of its main life heritage.

Весь сюжет закручений навколо середньовічної легенди/історії про доктора Фауста, реальної особи, алхіміка і чарівника, який дивував людей своїми незвичними практиками. Легенда каже, що за свої уміння він продав душу дияволу.
Варіація Гете найбільш глибока, через цю , в чомусь водевільну, «медіівельну» історію він дійсно глибоко відобразив багато конфліктів людського буття. І власне сам твір став одним з основних його життєвих спадків.

According to Goethe, God and Mephistopheles make a pair by which Faust should be checked - whether he is really a slave and son of God, or even, only a vile worm that immediately appears to be the first temptation of the unclean. On the horse - the soul of the doctor.
Well, the doctor agrees specifically with the devil that the sacred words will be "Stop for a moment!". At a time when the doctor is full of life and decides that this is the highest sense, this will be the end for him.
But not in joy, but Faust aspires to suffer, or to the fullness of life in all its manifestations. And on these quest for a fat life both these two come to pass - Faust and Mephistopheles (only Mephistopheles tends to give fornication and lies in these quests).
They visit drunken societies where the wine pours down the river through the taverns. Well, that's not Faust's heart.
And the witch gives Faust a young potion so that he wants a young girl. And in passionate love she asked to stop the moment. This connection destroys favorite Faustova Margarita. But God saves her.

За Гете, Бог і Мефістофель укладають парі, за яким слід перевірити Фауста – чи він дійсно раб і син Божий, чи також, тільки мерзенний черв, який зразу здастся на першу ж спокусу від нечистого. На кону – душа доктора.
Ну а доктор домовляється конкретно з чортом, що сакральними словами будуть «Зупинись мить!». В той момент, коли доктор насититься життям і вирішить, що це і є найвищий сенс, це і стане для нього кінцем.
Але не в радощів, а страждання, чи то повноти життя у всіх його проявах прагне Фауст. І на ці пошуки жирного життя і пускаються ці двоє – Фауст і Мефістофель (тільки Мефістофель більше прагне надати розпусти і брехні в ці пошуки).
Відвідують вони п’яні товариства, де вино по корчмах ллється рікою. Ну та воно не до душі Фаусту.
І відьма дає Фаусту молодильного зілля, щоб захотів він молодої дівчини. І в пристрасному коханні до неї вимагав зупинити мить. Цей зв’язок губить кохану Фаустову Маргариту. Але Бог спасає її.

The second part is more episodic. Here we are also portable to ancient Greece, to mythological characters and creatures. At the end of life Faust builds a dam and wants to comply with his part of the contract. But God takes away the soul of Faust to Paradise)))

Друга частина більш епізодична. Тут ми також переносимося в античну Грецію, до міфологічних персонажів і створінь. Наприкінці життя Фауст будує греблю і хоче вже дотриматися своєї частини контракту. Але Бог забирає душу Фауста до Раю)))
