Back to UCL to bust my Stress | Madrid take the first leg

in #ucl2 years ago

Okay. I know I've had this discussion with you @steemchiller regarding sports and manipulation. But, with all that's going on, I needed this!

Before I get into last night's game, I just wanted to update you guys on the multisig progress. Well, things have moved a bit slowly. However, I needed to ensure that this setup process would go on as smoothly as possible. I wouldn't want to end up in a state where an account becomes unusable cause I didn't test all the worst-case scenarios. I now have tested a whole bunch of transaction scenarios with my test accounts and would soon be moving to test some edge cases to see how it behaves. More updates will be shared over the upcoming days.

Game Night:

Madrid take the lead

So, the UCL quarter-finals were underway this week. Real Madrid drew Chelsea FC for the quarter finals. The moment this draw happened(last month), my WhatsApp was flooded by numerous messages from friends saying that this would be a 2021 repeat where Chelsea ended up thrashing Madrid.

After the last UCL comeback against PSG, I was a little more optimistic. The reason behind my optimism was that the second leg of the quarter-finals was going to be at the Santiago Bernabeu. There's a saying that 90 minutes at the Bernabeu is a very long time! The number of comebacks Real Madrid has had in this colossal stadium has been enough to justify this statement.

So, in my head, Chelsea's midfield would overpower Madrid and they would probably win the game by a goal or two. I was never prepared to witness what happened last night!

Once the game started, it was a pretty aggressive play by both teams. They looked evenly matched in the first few minutes. Madrid even came very close to scoring when Vinicious Jr. hit the crossbar. The problem that Madrid has faced the last few years is that we never had a consistent Number 7 post, Ronaldo.

Filling the big boots

Lately, Karim Benzema has been filling those boots for us. The Frenchman's amazing form came to Madrid's rescue again as he headed the ball twice into the goal in the first half. This was only matched by Chelsea's striker Havertz who is also in stunning form.

So, at halftime, Madrid was up two goals to one at Chelsea's home ground. At the start of the second half, Benzema struck again. Forcing an error by pressing on the goalkeeper, the Frenchman secured his hattrick for the second time in a row in UCL.

Chelsea wasn't one to give up either. The constant pressure exerted by them on Madrid's attack definitely opened up a few holes in the defense. However, with Courtois at the goal, they did not give out their two-goal lead.

Now then, Chelsea would be going into the Bernabeu while being two goals behind the home team. It's a huge task for them to come back and would probably make them the favorites if they do pull it off.

Now that I got that out of the way, it's time for me to head back to finish up on the tool. I am really looking forward to seeing most communities using it to not only secure the funds but also gain the trust of everyone in the community.
