Coverage of the Gallup poll on Ukrainians has been pretty lousy.

According to Gallup's own poll, only 27% of Ukrainians are open to territorial concessions to end the war.

This particular question was only asked of the 52% that said yes to the previous poll question.

So .52*52=27%.

This is similar to previous polling on the matter.

The contours of those concessions are also not so simple. Most Ukrainians aren't talking about freezing current lines of fighting. They are talking about say concessions on Crimea or pre-2022 Donbas. Not Kherson and Zaporizhzhia.

And even among those that are open to territorial concessions, they tend to want security guarantees as part of any durable agreement.

The two sides are quite far apart. Putin doesn't want to hand over any occupied territory, wants Ukraine to demilitarize, and wants them to give up on NATO membership.
