ULOG #4: What a good time to celebrate!

There are a lot of things that I am very thankful of to the God Almighty and part of that are some of the successes experienced by our school for the past months. Indeed the principle no labor shall be put to vain , especially when you offer it to God is true.

Last April 11 -13, I joined the 6th NAPSSPHIL Principals Congress with the theme Principal: Ready to Face the Challenges of the 21st Century Learners of Basic Education at Legend Hotel, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

I was very excited as it was my first time to be in Palawan, but I really hoped that next time I could tag my family along with me. Palawan has been known also as a paradise by tourists and home to a variety of aquatic species and some other endemic species.

Event Proper
It was really a grand event. There are around 800 school administrators who joined the said event.

Part of the Congress was the Presentation of Good Practices by different schools that could be replicated by other schools to create a more dynamic learning for the students. I was then part of the presentors and I felt so great.

The Good Practices presentation was done during the plenary. It was witnessed by more than 800 participants from all over the country. The Reasearch Congress that Bayanga National High School had was well applauded for it was unique in nature being relevant in current in issues to a school situated in a hinterland.

After a job well done, we know we needed a break

Do not get me wrong on this. Together with a few of my colleagues, we decided to experience the Underground River. It was not paid by the government of course. 😊

It was such a wonderful experience and unfortunately I do not have proper equipment to catch its magnificence. The photos by the way are from some of my colleagues.

OPCRF went high!
In line with being grateful, I would like to extend my gratitude to everyone who supported me. For the previous school year (2016), the rating I had for our entire office was just 3.09 which was good, but for year 2017, it went up to 4.7959.

This is a manifestation that teamwork makes our dreams work.

To all stakeholders: teachers, students, Local Government Unit of Bayanga, sectoral representatives, my family, and to all who abided with the Vine and most of all the Almighty God, the ultimate reason.
