#ulog 7: High Tide Experience

in #ulog6 years ago (edited)

Good day Steemians!

I would like to share my experience for today's Sunday. Over the weekend, I passed by this street in our city, having this kind of view:

Looking at the picture above, despite the good weather, where the sun is up, no typhoon advisory over the weekend and it didn't rain neither during the night but there is still flood in this area. Unlike my previous post before, check it here, where the city is under water because of the continuous rain at the time, but this day is totally different story.

The Reason

It is because it's high tide today. Where this area is a little bit low compared to other nearby places. Also it is just near the Pantal river. No doubt, the principle of physics is proven here **where water seek on its level. **

Seeing this kind of situation, I just felt sorry for the people living around this area, having to deal with this situation every high tide. I have experienced this kind of situation when I was still young when we used to live in a low place like this. So I can feel their agony and worries every time it is high tide or rainy season.

Being soak up in the water is risky and hazardous to our health because of possible water contamination and leptospirosis added to this is the possible Dengue.

I know this problem can be solved with the help of the city government by fixing maybe the drainage system and by elevating the roads.
