#Ulog 6 : Ordering books online
So early in the morning I was near my bookshelf, running my fingers over the binds of my lovely books when I felt the tingling desire to buy a few more.
I was feeling a bit lazy to hit the bookstore as I usually do to buy them books, so resorted to looking some up online.
This was probably the worst decision to make as I spent the next fours hours hooked to the laptop scrolling mouse over the never ending page that kept on loading loads of books into my face making me weaker by the minute.
While I normally pick up books from Amazon, if I shop online, for a change this time I was on the Flipkart site. As you can see from the screenshot above, there were some good deals running where you get additional 5% discount on buying 2 books, 10% on three books & 15% on 4 books. Mind you this was on top of their existing discount on the books which meant I was going to get an amazing deal if I made a purchase.
I had a fight! A fight with myself :) It was over which one to pick. I had a hundred personalities inside me that was debating over which one to pick as I could spend a lot too. Finally I narrowed them down and placed an order for these three.
Dragon Teeth by Michael Crichton
World Without End(Part of a series) by Ken Follett(I loved this purchase as this book is over 1000 pages which meant more reading time for me)
The Codex by Douglas Preston.
The final order amount came to 526 Rs which in USD is around $7.76, which is actually a great deal as the actual price would have been around $22.20, so yeah one third of the actual cost.
So I had a great day and I am pretty pleased with myself :)
Looking forward to them being delivered and to begin my reading spree!

I have read "Pillers of the Earth" (although I read it translated into french) and I have "World without End" (also in french), it is in my 'to read' pile!
:)
I have the tv series for Pillars of Earth and it was amazing!
The book was brilliant :)
You're lucky. Too bad they don't deliver internationally. :(
Amazon is just as good. On Amazon India we even have a used books section.
"Hey bookworms! Just wanted to share a quick tale about my recent dive into online book shopping. So, I was hunting for a rare edition of Hemingway that none of my local shops had. Stumbled upon this gem of this page , while scouring the web. They didn't just have the book, but offered it at a steal compared to other places!
What's your go-to for those hard-to-find titles? Would love to hear your stories too!
