Hope you get some good biking weather. It's not really fun in the rain and snow.
I've not seen counterfeit shoes, but I'm sure there's a market. I used to go to a shop that had actual Docs that were cheap as they had slight defects. The company is based near us, but most of the shoes are made in the far east now. They do last though. My daughter wears their boots all the time, so she gets good value from them.
I've had a pair of Doc's in my closet since the 90s. I usually get about 3 - 4 years out of a pair. I've never had shoes last like that. I wear them a lot too.
I didn't know they were made in the far east now. I thought they we're still made in the UK. They have a huge Doc Marten store in NY city, I've been wanting to take a trip up there, just to go boot shopping.
