#ULOG #4: PICKER ADVENTURES
Below is a 2005 Buell Lighting 1000. I purchased this from my neighbor for $1200 not running. He tried and tried to find the problem but was unable. He thought it was the brain box and they were really expensive. He bought a brand new bike and sold me this. Upon reading and reading and testing and testing i found it was the fuel pump. The fuel pump on these bikes are a pain in the ass. You normally have to remove the whole rear end to get to it. They are also around $500 for the pump. I found there is a super secret on pulling and replacing the pump without having to remove the whole rear end. I also found one of the mustang fuel pumps (i forget which year) is identical to the factory buell pump. Lucky me it was only $100. My cousin helped me with the labor and it fired right up. Oh man did it sound good! I kept the bike for awhile and literally almost killed myself several times. I had alot of fun and probably upset a few police officers. I sold this for $3600. I will never ride a motorcycle again. Injoy
