Springtime
I like all the seasons. They all seem to serve a purpose, but I will admit that by the time the month of February is almost over, I, like many others start to feel the "Winter Blues". But it's nice to know that Spring is so close by that time, and guess what? It's here! Happy Spring to You!
This is a wonderful month as we watch new life spring up from the ground with beautiful daffodils, wonderfully scented hyacinth, and a variety of other spring flowers. And the magnolia trees -- oh, I LOVE it!
(In photo: We have a little bit of Spring on the dining room table. Hyacinth have a strong lovely scent that is almost too strong at times.)
It's also so amazing to walk around and look closely at tree branches that looked plain and bare all Winter, but are now unfurling that beautiful Spring green through the tender, tiny leaves and buds that are rapidly developing.
I hope you take some time to get out, take a walk and really enjoy the Spring because Spring is like a child growing up -- if you blink, you'll miss it! This season of Spring always feels too short to me!
It is very appropriate that in this season we celebrate the greatest life gift ever: Jesus. In this month, we have a special holiday to celebrate that He died for our sins (for those who trust in Him), was buried in a tomb, and then three days later was risen from the dead never to die again! He broke the power of sin and death for all who trust in and follow Him! Praise God!
So many people want to find the "Fountain of Youth" in a sense, but they can't, because "All have sinned a fallen short of the Glory of God". Yet, Jesus, being perfect, couldn't stay dead and He will never die again. He doesn't grow old either. In Him there is Eternal Life and He offers that LIFE to US if we turn to Him and trust in Him. Wow. So great! Thank You Lord!
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus; whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith." Romans 3:23-26
"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23
