Agorism Ch. 1 - Become An Agorist (Transcript)

Agorism Part 1: Become An Agorist
What is an agorist?
An individual who is consciously participating in counter economics.
Counter Economics:
Counter economics are peaceful black and grey markets.
Black Market:
A black market is a market in illegal or unregulated goods and services such that the buyer and seller are both violating the laws of the jurisdiction in which the trade happens.
Grey Market:
A grey market involves legal goods sold outside of normal distribution methods.

If you are a high level agorist, transacting primarily in counter economies you are very naughty according to the government. Why does the government frown upon the agorist? Because the agorist pays very little to no income taxes. And the government knows that a community of agorists would pay little to no income, sales, or business taxes. And the government fears that an army of agorists would pay no taxes at all.
For each individual fully dedicated agorist in a society, that’s one less individual contributing income taxes to maintain and grow the state. An agorist is an individual working “under the table” in some form and not reporting that income therefore not paying income tax. An agorist is an individual selling a product or service without reporting the profit and paying the subsequent taxes. An agorist is an individual taking payment in something other than the state’s sponsored currency, and is therefore not subject to the rules of the state’s sponsored currency.
It’s basic math, the more tax money the state collects the faster, the bigger, the more out of control the bureaucracy grows. Conversely however, the less tax money you and I feed the beast that is the state, its growth starts to stunt. Without us paying for it, the whole facade that is the state, would come crumbling down. Tax money is crucial to every government’s growth and the government is very serious about collecting all of the tax money that they can. How serious you ask? Well, if you are not paying your taxes there is a good chance you’ll end up locked in a cage if you get caught..
So what’s an individual who is tired of being stolen from, and tired of funding useless bloody wars and politicians to do? Becoming an agorist is a solution. It’s not an easy solution but an individual can immediately begin to pragmatically lessen the amount of money the government steals from them in the form of taxation. With time any individual can become a high level agorist paying little to no income taxes. And with effort, a community of individuals can become agorists and pay little to no sales, income, and business taxes. And with time and effort, a whole army of agorists could arise and pay little to no taxes at all. The tools and technology for the agorist to utilize are out there and are continuously being built. And if many individuals begin by pragmatically lessening the amount of money that is stolen from them, perhaps the disease that is government will start to shrink. And with time, if many of those same plus more individuals become high level agorists that disease will die off and become a distant memory.
