This is a great hunt with great prey. These pictures made me, an old hunter, think of a tasty leg of lamb baked with vegetables in spices))) I’m kidding, I never hunted deer. But, I have nothing against baked lamb legs with spices and vegetables)) My Dear friend @Johannpiber, such pictures, this is how to find a golden nugget, you found! Good night to you my friend!
Thank you so much, my friend, and thank you, that you never hunted the "Bambi" :) I said before, that I do not hunt, but I must admit, that I do also like to eat deer, and of course, lamb :)
I wish you also a good night, my friend @barski.
Congratz, your post has been resteemed and, who knows, will maybe appear in the next edition of the #dailyspotlights (Click on my face if you want to know more about me...)

We splurged on the Canon 100-400 and are happy. We can shoot it freehand as it seems to have decent stabilization. 600mm would be the cats meow as we say, but I guess steady hands or a pod of some sort would be mandatory.
At first I wanted the new version of the Canon 100-400, but it is about 3 times as much as the Sigma, and I have read and viewed quite a view reviews before I decided to test the Sigma and save my money for the new Canon RF lenses, because for the L lenses you always need the adapter, which maked the lens even longer ;)
Because I have never had a lens longer than 200mm before, I will have to practise to get used of the weight of the 600mm, and use a monopod, lay down etc - the more I shoot with it, the steadier it will be :)
Thank you so much Pryde, this deer was really a very nice surprise 😊
All countries are god's countries, if you say so, but with a few countries, he may have made more effort 😉
Howdy again sir johannpiber! I thought the deer was very sharp isn't it? That heavy lens would be almost impossible to hold still though! But a monopod is more equipment to carry. Pretty soon you'll be carrying 50 pounds worth of stuff around!
What is a monopod, just a stand with a single leg?
A monopod is a single leg of a tripod, right. I can remove one leg of my tripod and use it with the ballhead as a monopod, but I don't like it, because it is not high enough for me and I cannot hold the camera steady enough.
I will have to buy a dedicated monopod, which will be more steady, than the thin leg of my tripod ;)
The deer is sharp, but not sharp enough for this lens, especially not the eyes.
When I take this lens with me, I will leave most of the rest at home, because a too heavy backpack makes no fun.
Howdy sir johannpiber! oh, this is about having fun? I thought it was about taking great pictures for the world to see. lol. No, I agree. If it's not fun thing is just work that you have to do more of!
I work would make fun, then nobody would wake up frustrated in the morning, because he or she has to go to work.
But, apart from a few exceptions, the companies don't want their employees to have fun, because while somebody laughs, he or she cannot give 100%.
Bad words, and I know, I am completely wrong. I know, that the companies are thinking different nowadays, but just one little E-Mail this morning has made me think of the old times back in the beginnings of the last century, when workers hat to function and nothing more ...
Howdy again sir johannpiber! Is that the way your company is, they don't want you to have any fun while at work? You should be able to work AND have fun.
No, we laugh a lot, but there are just some stupid people around, but usually we also laugh at these.
And sometimes the stupidity is to bad to laugh, and this makes me angry, but not for long :) Your comment has caught me in such a moment. After writing my reply I felt better ;)
ok, I think I get a good picture of the work environment now, that was a good explanation. You speak such good English, I don't know how it's so good if you don't speak it at home. or do you?
Thank you very much @janton 😄
No, we don't speak English at home, but I liked this language from the first hour at school, and for quite a while I have had a girlfriend from England, but this is History 😎
Thank you so much Ross 😊
Yes, it's a great lens for that price, but I don't know yet, if I'll keep it, because it is so heavy ;) I'll do more tests the next days and try to get sharper photos, and then I decide, and I will try a monopod too :)
I think, I'll have a bit of fun with it over the next days, because I want to shoot wildlife too, and I think, I will keep it - it's so hard for me, giving something back, when I had fun with it, and this thing makes fun :) All I need is to learn to handle the weight ;)

Danke dir für die Infos :) Das Ding ist schwer, aber ich mag es und ich werde noch ein paar Tage damit spielen. Heute war es leider zu heiß :)
A great capture. It truly is god's country where you are:)

I think that is accurate. ;)

Hello @johannpiber
Perfect focusing on deer. Really awesome photographs my friend.
thanks for share with us..
My pleasure, thank you very much for your nice comment @tussar11 :)
I like these a lot. That's a great lens for The size and weight, and price! I want one! A monopod would probably help a lot. :)
Thank you so much Ross 😊

If you don't need that extra zoom out so far i can see not needing it. I've held a Canon 600mm before and it's about 1000 kilos LoL
