A TRIP TO PLAY NATURE AND SHOW SOME STEEMIT LOVE

We took a trip to play in the snow and on the ice at a local pond. There is also a cave system right there and we played in them for a short bit. While we were there we also did a little cliff climbing.

Before we get into the story, let me share this beautiful piece of Steemit love I shared for anyone who came after us on the pond there.....

This trip began as we stopped along The Great River road to do a little rock climbing and cave exploring. This is the site of our adventures beginning. If you look closely you can see the cave up on the cliffside in this picture.

Can you see the cave? If you think you can, let me know in the comments below.

As we made our way up we found many beautiful gifts along the way. First was this lovely frozen waterfall.(Evan and I always enjoy eating the icicles. 😁)

Then we saw this tree that had not only picked up a rock...but was still holding it. Simply amazing!

As we journeyed further, the path turned treacherous and filled with danger. We were not afraid however, as we hade a fearless leader. His name was Evan, and no adventure is too dangerous for him.

After a short while we had made it to the cave and Evan loved it. It wasnt a big one. Only about 50 feet deep but super cool regardless. Here are some shots of it.

Before making our way back down the cliff we stopped for a quick break with a friend that also just happened to be hiking in the same area. He had brought a hammock and Evan really enjoyed taking a break in it.

This area we chose to rest at is a huge cliff overhang that has been used for thousands of years by native Americans for shelter and protection from the elements.

It made me wonder if this poor tree ever gets lonely? Being the only tree here must not equal much excitement for him. But then again, maybe he likes it this way.🙂

ON TO THE CAVES AND ICE

We made our way the rest of the way down the cliffside and on to the big waterfall and caves.

Wondering how the water felt? Zoom in on Evans face to see his expression and get an idea.😁

Here are a few more pictures of the frozen waterfalls in the area.

From here, it was just a short hike to get the the frozen cave lake. Now this place is really neat. You can go swimming here in the summer and ice skating in the winter.

Lastly, as we walked back to our truck we saw this beautiful nature made sculpture. It is the roots that grew through the hard rocks that make up the bluffs. Now exposed after so many years of growth.

That was pretty much the end of our journey. I hope everybody enjoyed. Take a minute today to spend a little actual quailty time with someone you love. They(or you) may not be here tomorrow. Never take for granted a moment you are given. For another day is never promised to any of us.

I love you all and as always I send each of you my happiest loving vibrations.

I think there's a cave at the back of a big tree that is in the middle.

Sorry for my late reply. I have been traveling to the countryside with my friend. We are in the north-east of Thailand for a few days. It’s very hot but it did rain a little. There are no Rick caves or mountains here. Very flat land by the river.

Thanks for your support.

Have a nice weekend.

Great to hear that you had a great day of fun and quality time with your boy.
Are icicles safe to eat? I didn't know that.
Nature looks a bit harsh, but still beautiful nonetheless.
Cheers!

Pretty sure they are.(We've been eating them a long time.😁)Probably FILLED with minerals after running through the rocks. And the water comes from a spring that we drink from in the summer time. And thanks for stopping by my friend. Were you able to do anything you wanted this weekend? I hope it was a one for you.

Thanks for the explanation of the icicles. Yes, they would be filled with minerals. :-)

Yes, I had a great weekend, thank you.
