MY COUNTRY NIGERIA 🇳🇬

My great nation Nigeria 🇳🇬. You are over 60years old and you gained independence and became a republic over 60years ago.

Fast forward to 2019, the state of the country is disheartening.
For the past two months, we have not had any electrical power supply here and this has led to scarcity of water and also my inconsistent presence online.
I only get to charge my phone at a paid charging booth, which I cannot afford to do everyday, because I also have to feed my children.

Only the rich and affluent can afford to use alternative source of power supply, that is, Generator.
Since I cannot afford one, my children and I have to sleep in darkness and heat.

I and especially my children have developed heat rash all over our bodies.
But, we still for fight to cope and survive.

I put on a smile for the world to see, but I cry in my closet.

Me, 2018

I have to walk to the next three streets to fetch water from a well which is regulated, so we can only fetch 25litres each per day. That quantity of water is not even enough to bathe my children, not to talk of cooking for them or clean our small home.

When will this suffering be over for Nigerians?.
When will we stop smiling and suffering?.

I pray our leaders are true and honest to lead us well and provide basic infrastructure.

I understand your hardship and it breaks my heart. In my country South Africa we have similar problems. Can our election in a few days' time change things.
Your English is so good.( I presume it is a second language for you?)

English is our official language in Nigeria.
Thanks for the compliment and thanks for visiting.🤗
I hope things get better in your country and the world in general.
