Ximending Streets

in #undefined6 years ago

What's really great about traveling to another country is finding things which are not available in our home land.

This opportunity given to us to get around Ximending Street was really awesome. We spent five days in Taipei, Taiwan, most of the time walking in their clean streets.

Here below are some of the pictures taken on our first day in Taipei, specifically in Ximending Street, just nearby where we were staying.

As you can see in the first four images, there aren't many people walking in this time of the day until you reach the Ximending Walking District, the first walking district in Taiwan and I believe in Asia as well.

I greatly enjoyed street photography while in Taiwan so here's more!

It's fascinating that the locals here are really very law abiding. They got lanes for motorcycles and bikes and most people make use of those. Train stations are always filled up as well!

Both James and I felt really safe walking around the city. There was not even one single time that we felt any fear even at night.

More photos to be posted soon! Stay tuned!

Amazing streets you have in there. Great scenes from the street with awesome movements. I really enjoyed reading your blog and you rocked.
Actual the various scenes reminds me of one area of here with equally awesome scenes like what you have in the blog. For some seconds I thought of myself at that Place.

You really brought great memories in me and am glad I landed on your blog today. You really made my day. Great work and keep the photography spirit up.

Looks very busy place, typical for South East Asian. I believe human being is always an interesting topic, capturing the people randomly hurrying up on their own way, busy with the buying or selling. Just simple people in outside restaurants, this is really something that many photographer and Artists love. Just like sometimes to capture empty street is too boring but if there are some figures or even an animal the picture becomes lively.

I hope you enjoying your stay and this is the best way to learn country to go into the crowds and only to sty in all-inclusive hotels. Beautiful photo series!

What can be better than going out in the streets, if somebody wants to know about the soul of a foreign land ! Great photos. You captured the street life well. Everybody seems to be in hurry or busy in his own world. And, basically, that's what streets are all about :D

I also like the expression that old man has on his face while reading the newspaper and talking on phone. Thanks for sharing and have good day. I hope you're enjoying your stay in Taiwan.

Great pictures.
It shows a certain spirit of the city and its people. I don't like crowded places, but I can appreciate how photography can turn chaos into art.
One observation about the display of the pictures in the post, you can try spacing them. some look attached to the others and the effect is quite distracting.

The first thing that came into my mind when I saw the photos was "busy, crowded". I guess I'm not used to that. You've managed to take some very nice people photos. I was happy to read you were feeling safe. Safety is the most important thing, no matter where you are but when you're abroad, you can't always trust the place, so it's nice to know the place is safe.

Excellent posts! Congrats on the Curie.
I found you because @deeanndmathews featured you in the Pay it Forward Curation contest. Keep up the great work!
