My debut at exploring Cryptocurrencies... (Part I) #Untalented Contest By @surpassinggoogle

I am proud of myself that I was concerned enough to explore more about cryptocurrencies & apparently get connected to like-minded intellectuals. I am still open to befriending more such people.

Believe it or not but Cryptocurrency is the future !!

It all started on July 207 when I first got to know about Bitcoins. It was so cheap then. It was around 1,60,000 ₹ in Indian currency, It is 5,00,622 ₹ at present. But still, since I wasn't earning on my own, I thought it was expensive & couldn't invest much into it. You can see the graph below, it's just beautiful to see it grow exponentially.

A week prior to it, I was researching digital currency & the black market for an inter-collegiate debate I was preparing for. I ended up reading & researching more about the Dark Web, The Silk Road, The TOR network, Ross Ulbricht, Edward Snowden & other such stuff. I was surprised to read about Ross Ulbricht. He is an American former drug trafficker and darknet market operator, best known for creating and running the Silk Road website from 2011 until his arrest in 2013. He was known under the pseudonym "Dread Pirate Roberts". Despite the fact that he was a culprit, I was still fascinated by reading more about him. I couldn't stop myself from exploring more about the hidden facts about the deep web. And thus in the same exploration, I came across the term Crypto-currency. And that was the 1st time I got serious about knowing more about Bitcoins. 

One of my best friends & a mentor Suraj Pawar who was already into it, I tried to extract everything from him. Since he was a Hacker, he had multiple transactions in Bitcoins. He gifted me some amount so that I could start my account on Blockchain. I came across many other digital crypto wallets. By that time I also discovered the sudden increase in the price of Btc's. In August 2017, the price got incremented exponentially. And that caught my attraction. I started with small investments in Btc. This friendship with him turned fruitful because of his deep interest and his skills to explore the unexplored. One of my other friends, Saurabh Soparkar also helped me learn more about it.

I am up to an opinion that Bitcoin, or more generally cryptocurrency, is an important advancement and potentially massively disruptive, in ways that can't now be predicted, much like how the impacts of the internet couldn't have been accurately predicted. I think it's a really important shift in the power balance, shifting some power from a corrupt government and financial sector. It comes at a time when change is needed.  

 Like so many technologies, it enables both generosity and malice.  There is a massive black market served with bitcoin, but there is also a tremendous culture of generosity within bitcoin. 

"It's this generosity that I choose to focus on, and hope to encourage."

In the next few months, I got to explore even more types of Crypto-Currencies like Ethereum, & that's how I discovered Steemit.  I know that I am too late now to discover it & I regret that. But I am very much sure to dig it deeper. I would also like to mention that I got into some scams & money laundering schemes in the last 3 months where I lost a big part of my balance. I am cautious since then.

Well, I am yet to describe my experience to introduce myself on steemit. But I would like to thank some friends who have been extremely helpful to me here, on Steemit.
