Where did the snake bite you at? Did your are swell up also? At the hospital did they automatically know how to treat you, or did they ask you what the snake looked like? And in what location did the bite occur (was you near a moist area?) I assume the swelling causes tightness, but does it throbe? Does your hand feel hot/cold?
