Music and Muslims

Bangladesh is an Overpopulated Muslim country. In Bangladesh: maximum people cannot ignore music, but they do not want to do music because they thought music is haram for Muslims. I am a Bangladeshi Muslim musician. I did not find any harmful thing in music. In my experience, always I saw positive energy and positive thing in music. I ask some Muslim scholar, Some of them said that music is haram for Muslims because music distracts our mind. Did I ask them how? they did not give me any proper answer. I am searching this answer, why music is haram for Muslims!! Islam is a modern religion. It is modern because Islam is the last establish religion. And I believe that Islam is the modern and progressive religion, but why music is haram in Islam !!! we lost many talented musicians only for this reason that is music is haram for Muslims. Just think if there was no restriction about music for Muslim...I am sure, we got much great music composer, composition, musician and music. In my philosophy : Music is positive and all positive thing appreciate Islam. so I am doing music ....and I am a proud Muslim Musician.
