Trump tax cuts.
I just saw someone post about their frustration about an article that said "Trump's tax cuts will cost the government billions and help the rich..."
For any that haven't ever paid attention, the government only "generates revenue" through taxes.
So, tax cuts can only reduce income to the government. (A good thing in my opinion)
And since the rich pay the most taxes, those cuts often benefit them the most. That's the side effect of a graduated tax scale that taxes you more as your income goes up.
Since the media can only bash Trump, they will shout about how horrible and unfair his tax cuts will be for the country, without any care about the end result for the country.
The only thing that matters in the end is if our quality of life improves or not. The primary levers for that are lower inflation, increased income, and safe communities.
So, lower taxes have to be done to accomplish that.
