The unemployment rate is unchanged for October at 4.1%.
The Sahm Rule recession signal is no longer triggered. It was a false positive.
The October jobs report was heavily affected by the hurricanes, both in terms of actual job disruption and the actual BLS payroll survey collection. So it is unreliable this month. I'm not going to post the job numbers as a result.
The household survey was not significantly affected by the hurricanes. That is how the unemployment rate is calculated. So I'm posting the unemployment data.
All in all, good to see the unemployment rate stabilizing. Especially as the Fed begins to lower interest rates.
