I think when a reply is about to be made on a comment. That way notification pops up when a comment is replied.

Let's take for example, the common application twitter. When comments are replied on Twitter the default handle shown is the own of the comment about to be replied. Which makes the application and site cool.

Benefits
The benefits of this suggestion are numerous. One of them is it allows for the owner of comment to be able to know of his comments have been replied and directed towards him. Which aids communication and faster usage of the site.
Another usefulness is the fact that errors when typing username would be avoided in all ways.

I think that the handle suggestions on reply on steemit should be changed. The reason is that the one that I have used for a long time has been changed and I don't like it. It's simple and easy to use and I think that it would be better if we had a new one. Try this Home Gym For Kids for best gym for kids. I'm not sure how it works in practice, but it seems like a good way to build up your reputation on Steemit and make yourself more visible to people who want to follow you.
I think it's a good idea to use the handle as a username. It's more personal than your account name, which is just a number. I also agree that we should be able to reply anonymously. Go to spend management strategies for best ideas. I know many people who don't have the courage to post an open-ended question and would rather just post on another topic if they're not sure how to answer it.
