Add features to Taponium

Taponium

Taponium is an open source mobile game. It is an arcade game that is reflex oriented. The game is fun to play and easy to use. The application not large in size so it does not occupy much memory space. Using this application, I noticed some essential features can be added to the application:

• Highscore feature
• In-app Instructions feature

Proposal

• Highscore feature: The feature stores the best score of the user in a ranked order. It shows the best score of the user in a game. The feature should be able to display about 5-10 of the users overall top scores. For instance, when a user plays a game and gets a particular score the user should be able to know if that is their highest score or not. The feature should be positioned in the main page of the game as shown in the images below.

• Instruction: In a game like Taponium, an instruction manual should be provided on how to play the game. The instruction manual should indicate the aim and objectives of what the game is about and also how to play it. The instruction manual should be positioned in the main page of the game. Illustrations can be found below.

When users click the Highscore option, a list of the users best score appears. When users click the Instruction feature, a how to play instruction manual is shown.

Benefits

The importance of these features cannot be overemphasized. The addition of these feature will make the application more appealing and easy to use.

The high score feature will give users the opportunity to keep track of their score history. Also users will be able to evaluate their performance in game by checking their highest score. This feature is a source of motivation to users as they will always try to pass their present highscore and this will increase how much they play the game.

The instructions feature will users get a clear understanding of the game so they can hit the ground running and start the game on a high note. Also feature will make the rules of the game much clearer as users play the game. This feature will also clear every confusion on what the game is like.
The inclusion of these features will make the application a more standard one.
